Ojectives: 
After completing this course, students will be able to:
Compare common network transmission media, including UTP, STP, coaxial cable, fiber-optic cable, and wireless
Discuss the conditions under which each transmission medium is appropriate
Compare IEEE standards for media types (10Base2 through 1000BaseX)
Explain common network elements such as simplexing, half- and full-duplexing, WAN and LAN, baseband and broadband, servers, workstations, hosts, and hub types
