Summary: This course is approved by the British Computer Society to help candidates prepare for the BCS Level 2 Certificate for IT Users. It provides an overview of using IT in the workplace. While the procedures in the course are presented using Microsoft Office applications on a Windows XP platform, they can be applied to any similar desktop computing system. This course will prepare learners to work with data and computers in a safe, efficient, and legal manner. (Applicable only in the United Kingdom.
Ojectives: After completing this course, students will be able to: Understand legal issues for data and computer use. Explain workstation ergonomics. Identify best practices for data security, backup, and recovery. Organize and manipulate folders and files on a computer. Share data between applications and across platforms. Prepare information for presentation and to a global audience.
